As an Equality body we are working in partnership with key statutory, private and voluntary organisations to promote equality of opportunity, good race relations, tolerance and human rights. We provide advice, guidance and support to victims of hate crimes and discrimination across all protected characteristics. We have a dedicated team of executive committee members and experienced staff who will be pleased to assist. We have an excellent track record of developing and delivering projects to meet local needs. Introduction
East Staffordshire Racial Equality Council (ESREC) is a voluntary organisation working towards the elimination of racial discrimination through the promotion of equal opportunities and good relations, between people of different racial groups.
ESREC is working in partnership with The Commission for Racial Equality, East Staffordshire Borough Council, Staffordshire Police, Staffordshire Probation Service, Crown Prosecution Service, Tamworth Borough Council, Lichfield District Council, Queen's Hospital NHS Trust and Burton College. ESREC is a registered charity providing a service to all people in East Staffordshire, Tamworth, Lichfield and the South Derbyshire travel to work area, working in partnership to eliminate inequalities and bring communities together. We also support victims of hate crimes/ incidents.

ESREC Objectives
To work towards the elimination of racial discrimination; to promote equality of opportunity and good race relations between persons of different racial groups.
ESREC Functions
| POLICY DEVELOPMENT | Encouraging the implementation/ monitoring of policies and procedure for good community relations. |
| COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT | Providing support, advice, information and guidance to Black and Minority Ethnic and other disadvantaged groups in East Staffordshire |
| PUBLIC EDUCATION CASE WORK | Campaigning on specific local, regional and national issues. Giving support, advice and information to victims of racial discrimination and hate crime. |
